Quick side note: The original Super Mario Bros 2 (the Japanese version) was released to America via Super Mario All-Stars on the Super Nintendo. The Famicom Disk System version WAS released via the Virtual Console on the Wii, Wii U, and 3DS afterwards.

Fun Fact: the blocks and question marks in the first Super Mario Bros. game in 1985 were actually people in the Mushroom Kingdom who had been turned into blocks by Bowser!

Super Mario Bros 2 was actually localized in the US as “The Lost Levels” WAY before the Wii. I was part of the Super Mario Allstars game for the Super Nintendo back in 1993
