With strong tailwind from predecessor 'Whoosh!', DEEP PURPLE surprised with everyone with their cover-album 'Turning To Crime'.

The album, released by earMUSIC, reached the worldwide community of Deep Purple loyal fans only 15 months after Deep Purple‘s previous studio album 'Whoosh!', an album saluted by prestigious chart achievements (3rd consecutive #1 in Germany, as well as well as #4 in the UK) and acclaimed by critics who praised the creative strength of a band that continues evolving with every release.

'Turning To Crime' is the first studio album by Deep Purple entirely made of songs not written by the band and previously recorded by other artists.

The "time trilogy", consisting of "NOW What?!", "inFinite" and "Whoosh!" (2013, 2017 and 2020) have sold over 1 million albums, topped the charts 11 times and achieved more than 40 Top 10 positions worldwide.
Producer and friend Bob Ezrin, who worked with Deep Purple on the previous albums forming the “trilogy", was once again an important part of the new studio work.

Deep Purple are more than a band for me. They are my friends, in every step of my life since when I was 14 (I am 52 now), they were there with their music, and their music was just the right one for me. Could not stop listening any of their album, from Made in Japan to the latest. They are the highlanders of rock, immortal... But not as distant gods, rather like friends, good old friends with whom you would enjoy a pizza, a beer, a night. When Mr Lord passed away I could not stop crying, he was one of my friends. Thanks God, I'm a Purple fan. And always be!!!

Absolutely awesome rendition of this song. So sad that due to Steve's wife's medical condition, that he's no longer with DP. God bless his wife and him!!

Paice is still incredible.... He plays like he's reading a newspaper... This is a breeze for him even at his age.

Ian Gillan's voice is still very powerful, a unique and immortal voice! ❤️

Steve and Don playing an extended solo and trading licks, it sounds like the classic progressive rock of Yes and others (Don's keyboard sound here is just like Rick Wakeman's on many a Yes tune)--it does my heart good, to say the least. This is the kind of musically important stuff that has been banished from popular rock and pop for so long. Cheers!

Wow, didn't expect this! It's great to see/hear one of my favorite bands cover a song by one of favorite bands (Love)! Deep Purple were contemporaries with L.A. rockers Love. But Love didn't get the fame and notoriety that label mates The Doors got. It's great to know there are still people rocking to Love songs! Thanks, Deep Purple for keeping the flame burning!

As I did not heard the song before I learnt DP will do it, it sounds to me more like new DP track then a cover and sounds great. Gillan and the whole band with Paice all over the place really nailed it.

KEEPING "IT" ALIVE!
I will never the first day I heard you ALL
In 1973 when I was six, smoking on the water. Its the first time I ever heard Rock
N Roll. Great new song guys with some
very technical arrangements. Wow.
You just get better and better.
"YOU NEVER DIE AND YOU NEVER
GET OLD WHEN YOUR PART OF
ROCK n ROLL". Its just the hardest job
In the World and musicians deserve
every cent. Jet lag, collaborating, diplomacy, TRUST, strategy, partying
and management. Simply Grateful
guys for all the pain and suffering.
A good product sells itself.

I Saw Purple every time in Buenos Aires Argentina, from 91, with Jon Lord, to the present.
A 18 times, more or less.
Ever with sold out Arenas.
And with personal chats and photos and autogrhaps from Roger, Steve and Don !!
On the Don solo, he has played Keith Emerson tunes !!, also Astor Piazzolla songs !!!
For me, Don is a perfect mix of Emerson with Lord !
Cheers from Buenos Aires Argentina
