I can never figure out how an adult can find a child a figure of sexual desire. It makes absolutely no sense. The notion of sexual attraction between an adult and a young child is so foreign it would like finding (to illustrate the concept of "foreign") a peanut butter sandwich sexually desirable.

I get so tired of the "difficult childhood" defense, especially with a case this nauseating. Even though David got off with a much lighter sentence because of the potential complexities with this case, chances are he'll experience "prison justice", as guys who do this type of evil BS to young kids don't fare very well in prison, they tend to be hated and reviled by everyone, including the guards. That little girl was doomed from the beginning. A broken family, then a blended family, with the responsible mother away during the evenings, and too young children left alone while adults partied… a recipe for disaster.
