It’s not too late to learn Cloud skills, in fact they’re considered absolute must-haves now, same as knowing Python and/or typescript. Ten years ago if you had Cloud skills you had a leg up on others, now you’re *expected* to have Cloud skills, even if you aren’t a cloud engineer.

I would love to see your video on a study plan for those three specific areas. I have no prior IT knowledge but am eager to learn cloud computing. However, every time I start, I get overwhelmed by how little I know and end up giving up.😢

Hello @techwithLucy,

As always, your content is outstanding! I'd like to offer an additional perspective: It's important for those entering the field to focus on mastering fundamental networking skills before rushing to accumulate certifications. Understanding core concepts such as the role of a router, how to build a Local Area Network (LAN), what a Virtual Machine (VM) is, and the distinctions between private and public subnets is crucial.

For those with more experience, a practical challenge could be integrating an EC2 instance into your CI/CD pipeline—for instance, using GitLab CI. This kind of hands-on application reinforces both foundational and advanced skills.

Hi Lucy! Little unrelated to this video but I think it would be awesome if you could make videos explaining cloud terminologies. When I was starting to learn cloud all the terminologies were so overwhelming and unfamiliar, so people would love to see it!

Hey I learned Cloud Essentials from AWS skillbuilder. I know coding and a bit inclined towards development. Can you suggest which (preferably free) courses or path to follow next?

Great Video, Lucy. You are 100% correct that cloud jobs are more challenging to get these days. Additionally, the market is full of engineers and architects who lost their jobs. I am in the US, Dallas, TX, and Microsoft and AWS had massive layoffs across multiple teams. Multiple times in the last year or so. Thank you for sharing needed skills for the current market

architect level roles will become dominant. Like
1. Design a vector db on server less lambda or ECS etc etc in future.
But ur more experienced than me at least 5-10 years.
