To Garbage Disposal or NOT to Garbage Disposal

In many European countries, garbage disposals aren't actually allowed, which is a big change from what we're used to in America.

Moved into my house in 1985, remodeled it w/o contractor. Wired for garbage disposal, never installed it. Here we are in 2024. Still no GD and I have never missed it. I also have never had a plugged drain.

My family has a little bin specifically for compost and half a hill is for compost for our garden

Don't mean to be that person but only people that can afford a garbage disposal can do that. (I'm American) other wise we just put food wast in the trash. 🤣

Which country are you referring to when you say "here"? There are 44 countries in Europe and they are far from homogenous.

Yeah I'm American and i think garbage disposals are not that useful. Once you get used to not having one, it's really no big deal
