How to use the COUNT or COUNTA function on a filtered list of data so that hidden rows are not included in the count.

This will work for filtered data as well as manually hidden rows in the worksheet.

I will show you two different functions to use to achieve this, the SUBTOTAL and the AGGREGATE function.

Great lesson, and what would be helpful is ... labelling the cell the formula is being developed for. That's very critical for the viewer to be clear about what we are doing, while the formula building by itself is another layer of difficulty.

Exemple; I have 30 rows with different items names, I filter only specific items with 10 rows now automatically shows sum of 10 rows in empty row, but it shows 30 rows total. Solve my problem please

I hate when I see comments about how great something worked and it does not work at all for me. Not even a little. I have 7000+ rows I subtotaled, then turned to a table, and the result I get with all functions is 0 rows. Even if I reveal all of the rows.
