Grievous Joins The Empire: Star Wars Rethink

General grievous was the lethal commander of the CIS military but what would of happend if he came under the control of the empire?

I could see Thrawn using Grevious. Thrawn would have had an understanding of Grevious so he would use him wisely.

I think Grievous would be perfect as a black ops commander/operator. Task with Taking out any corruption with in the empire and taking high value targets of the enemy. Grievous would work well with the grand moffs, knowing that their priorities are towards running the empire and not worrying about positions in power; like lower commanders. And since the rebels and pirates used CIS tech in their armies, Grievous with he's knowledge of running the those armies is best in the empire to take down any droid army. Being, Similar to Vader, Grievous would be feared inside and outside of the empire which is a good thing. I mean at the end of the day the Empire is ruled through fear and order. This gives Palpatine a secondary enforcer to provide a symbol of power where Vader maybe unable to reach. lastly Grievous is loyal to only Palpatine unlike Vader and being a sith, Grievous could become a anti Vader if Vader ever wont's to challenge the thrown

I see 2 outcomes to bring Grievous in the Empire
1. Reprogram him
2. Put him as a Inquisitor

Maybe Vader and Grievous would have some kind of understanding. They both had loved ones taken from them and they were both cybernetically augmented to the point where they are nothing like their former selves. I'm not saying they would be friends or anything, but as time goes by, they could possibly develop a respect for each other.

What if the Jedi didn't accept their roles as generals in the grand army of the republic? This would have dramatically changed events as the public wouldn't loose confidence in the Jedi.

Sidious could just give him a new design and name and could give him one battalion of the best stormtroopers because Grievous hates droids but respects good warriors. With his own Fleet and his knowledge of the outer rim, Grievous could search for rebels and destroy everything in his way. Much like Francis Drake, he would be serving under the flag of the empire, but would be disconnected from politics, the senat and the Rest of the military

Or they could give him new cybernetics and a voice changer like Obi-Wan did to pretend to be Rako Hardeen. He could be passed off as an entirely different individual.

I pretty sure Grievous wouldn't give a shit about the Moffs because Sidious would have executed order 66 (Hunt down all jedi). And Grievous would sure as hell hunt every jedi without question, which is what Sidious wanted. He'd get some new sith armor or maybe a different look.

I think Grevous could be used as a private guard for sideous. Or given a new body and given the option to be a general again. Turning hin into a driod super soldier.

If Grievous joined the Rebellion. Possible scenario is Grievous realizes that Sidious intends to betray him and builds an organic army under his image and begins a guerrilla war.

I would love to see a duel once again between Obi-wan and this time Imperial Grievous ensue. It would be amazing to watch Grievous battle an older and wiser Ben Kenobi. Think about how great it would be if Grievous flopped Kenobi's infamous line form Revenge of the Sith and surprised him in a somewhat playful tone by saying, "Hello there, remember me."

It's not as odd as it first sounds, I guess. Grievous was in it to kill Jedi, not for politics. He would likely side with the Empire.
