In my country, you can get antibiotics from any pharmacy without the need for a prescription. when I moved to the states, I was so upset because I get sick and I can not get an antibiotic without going to a doctor. my background is in engineering and this is the first time I know for sure why antibiotics need to be prescribed by doctors here. I have a very big drug resistance. I don’t experience hangovers and when i was 13 I survive eating 19 Benadryl in attempt to get high. Not a fun trip for sure

#Drug resistance is a major problem in cancer and the reason behind the inefficiency of chemotherapy to combat cancer. Cancer cells rely on several mechanisms to limit drug accumulation and action. These mechanisms include efflux pumps at the plasma membrane, compartmentalization of drugs, altered membrane lipids and increased repair of damaged DNA to avert apoptosis. The mechanisms used by cancer cells vary, depending on cell type and aberrations within the cell. Cancer cells have intrinsic resistance, which allow resistance to specific drugs. However, cancer cells tend to progress into acquired, multi-drug resistance, where specificity is no longer a limiting factor.

What we need is for pharmacists, vets, drug manufacturers and drug suppliers to stop supplying the latest drugs for livestock .
Look up the research . When we end up with traces of these drugs in our foods that bugs can overcome . That is why we have resistance to even the latest drugs . This is of even greater concern than patient non compliance .
This should be made criminal offence internationally .
Otherwise no one will save us from the pandemic to come .
