While accurate the biggest driver of antibiotic use isn't medicine but rather agribusiness which feed antibiotics to livestock because it causes them to gain weight faster (as by killing off most of the microbiome of the livestock their isn't as many microbes to absorb a share of nutrients). The mass regular use of antibiotics on industrial scale creates far more opportunities for evolution of resistance to emerge particularly as run off carries them into the environment and the emergence of resistance in agribusiness farms drives them to start using other antibiotics worryingly creating the prefect conditions for antibiotic resistant pathogens to proliferate. (Especially since many pathogens are being bred under the same conditions where lots of unhealthy animals are living in close confinement and unsanitary conditions)

Well bacteria have a dilemma. They either build up protection against antibiotics, or bacteria phages. They can't have resistance against both.

We can use the one if the other doesn't work, yet more testing has to be done. But so far it looks promising.

Amazing channel, completely agree on suspiciously low subs.

I have issues with this video specifically however:
1. Hand sanitizers don't typically contain antibiotics, I'm not aware of any that does. They contain non specific antimicrobial agents such as alcohol.
2. 99.999(..) actually equals to 100 exactly.
