I would only recommend keep a portfolio of work you do, or aquariums you have in your personal life. Those are good things to have. You obviously would build them over the years.

First thing that came to mind liabilities would be involved (fish dying 3-4 days after you've cleaned the aquarium even though it's not your fault)? What type of insurance would you have to carry "to be safe".

I work for a lawn care company and I am going to do salt and fresh and provide my own ro/di water and freshwater in 300 and 200 gal tanks in a van or flat bed. Accessories will be in boxes in the box truck. The fert tanks and pumps and spray guns will be filled with good clean water for any tank water changes I can drag the hose in their hose and add my own water as long as it's not above 300 gal. Just turn the liquid fert lawn care business into a aquarium care business. I live in North East pa who wants to join me, and be serious business partners. Already no how the business side works ( scheduled services, extras and more from my experiences in lawn care ), and the fish care side works just like the lawn care side. Truck set up is the same just different products. Just could use a motivated business partner.

I've done something similar doing housekeeping/cleaning while I was still looking for a job. At first I was registered through a religious institution that offered housekeeping for the elderly and through one lady I worked for she hooked me up to clean for her daughter on the side. It was pretty good. That job I got $75 to sweep and mop and dust the house for a couple of hours. So if you do a good job they'll start recommending you to more people which is great!

I've thought about setting up a business like this - but I always talked myself out of it. Sure, if you get enough clients, you can make decent money and have lots of free time. But you've convinced me I was right not to do it. LOL

Could you make a video on how to stock a fish store product wise? I want to start one here in Spartanburg South Carolina but I have no clue on where to start based on foods, products, and equipment. I know what I want to stock just not where to get it!

other than the business license you should become an LLC or an incorporation so if your company does get sued they can't take your personal belongings

The part about the hospitals blew my mind

I started working for the LFS in August 2019, and by October I had started doing the maintenance for the accounts the store owner had acquired before opening the store. I think the owner set up most of the tanks himself. There is a very high potential for expanding the customer base, but my boss only pays me $8 per hour and charges a minimum of $40 per tank. I do maintenance one day a week and work in the store 2 days. It’s obviously not paying my bills. I don’t want to drum up more business when the owner is paying me so little, but it seems unethical to approach businesses about setting up new accounts behind his back. I also don’t have access to wholesale equipment, supplies, and fish. Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.
