Easy Stone cutting for cladding panels
I need to cut stone panels for around my new doors, there was loads of cuts of varying length and these needed to form random courses

I decided to make a simple table that I could slide in the stone panels and cut random courses quickly, accurately and efficiently

I was originally going to hire a table saw to do these cuts but by using some of my existing tools and a simple table/jig this was an easy job and I reckon I saved good money on buying or hiring specialist tools

Big thanks to my girls for helping me with the last couple of panels!!

Great tips Robin and always thinking outside the box. I liked the one you did with the decking, measure once and cut the rest in rapid time, I also watched the roofing video with the hip valley for the third time last night. House is looking really well.🇮🇪

Looks great and the jig to give you consistent cuts, very clever. But, and there always is a but, I never thought that I would ever see Robin do stone cladding.

Good stuff. Not only is it accurate and repeatable it enables all the prep work to be done in a session (continuity of thought), keeps the worksite clean (only one clean up required) and of course it reduces material waste. The end result was perfectomundum.😀👍

Yes, good idea for a very repetitive pattern in the courses...you could mixed the starting blocks, and even reversed them, and put them in at opposites to get a better, more natural pattern look...but the jog was a good idea and worked well for what you wanted to achieve...
