Exactly, I’m a Christian too and I was taught that if you believe Jesus Christ and god are your lord and savior and you believe that Jesus died for our sins, you will go to heaven. Let me know if I need to know anything else

I am Christian now, but people mistreating one another is the reason I rejected Christianity for so many years. Both teachers and adults were misusing the word of God to terrorize young people and elevate themselves above others. They were hypocrites and mean to others. I pray that they got better and became more nice through growth and humbling. However, it was the love that other people had for one another, and it was seeing what selflessness really was and getting to experience healthy love, that made me value Christianity and start believing. R3alism also helped. But it was all because of kindness. People turn their backs on religions because of corrupt people and leaders. Because of bad people. So... my advice? Be good. Be good people and persons.

We all need Jesus.
James 2:10 states that if we have broken one of the laws, it means that we have broken all of the laws.
Ezekiel 33:11 states that God doesn’t find joy in the destruction of even sinners, which includes all of us for all of us are sinners ( Psalms 130:3, Romans 3:23) and because of that God brought down Jesus so that humanity may find redemption. (John 3:16-17, Isaiah 53:5)
But Jesus came to redeem us from being slaves to sin (Romans 5:8, John 8:32-34)
What do we have do to receive salvation ? Place your faith on Jesus (Ephesians 2:8-9, Romans 4:16-17, Romans 10:8-9, Acts 16:30-31) and you shall be saved.
