I’m korean . I just watch the movie with my family. And It was not about love story or hollywood nonsense. It was a great movie. I remember this war as I visit hawaii war museum . This is a great movie and It makes me have a great respeck for U.S.Army

Just, please...for the love of reality, no fake love triangles or other stupid contrived Hollywood nonsense. This is literally one of the greatest naval battles in all of history, and the real story has more than enough drama and intrigue to suffice. Make Rochefort the legend he deserves to be, fighting against his own intellectually inferior rear echelon "superiors" to deliver one of the great military intelligence successes ever, and afterward getting sent to command a drydock because he pissed off too many powerful people. Get Waldron and the balls-of-steel, virtually suicidal unsupported attack of Torpedo 8 right. Maybe throw in some of Jimmy Thach rocking the new Wildcat tactic he himself devised and using it for the first time in battle against the vaunted Zeros when his nation needed it the most. And please, PLEASE do justice to McCluskey, Best, and that legendary Dauntless dive attack that in under five minutes changed the face of the entire Pacific war. Those men are gone now, but their actions far outlive them, their story doesn't need any unnecessary Hollywood seasoning added.

I watched it in the cinemas when it first came out. I remember the cinema being only half full as I was watching it during the early afternoon.
As usual we sat down and got comfy started munching on the popcorn and waiting for the ads to finish, when, to everyone’s astonishment, several young girls came and sat down in one of the more forward rows and everyone noticed them.
As soon as the movie started the ladies realised they were in the wrong cinema they got up and left. The whole cinema, probably less than 20 blokes, erupted in laughter.

I watched this movie with my dad. Im 13 and a girl, and i liked it so i dont think anybody would hate it, or dont like it. I would recommend it and it also helps you with the history.
