It's not "just" about the temperature, it's about how long the thermal paste will last before repasting, MX-4 just keeps on going and going. You pretty much only have to replace it when you take off your coolers.

Artic MX-4 has really good longevity + it's known for having low electrical conductivity i.e. no shorts if you accidentally get some where it's not wanted...

Simple, because it's great value for the money.
Also it's very long lasting. Even after 6 years it's still a paste and not solidified

Hello, I've bought this thermal paste in 8g tube and it seems to emit a strong sweetish smell which gives me a mild headache. Does your unit also emit such a smell ? On my package it says Rev.3 best before: Jan 2030. I've checked the authenticity and it says it's genuine. I'm a little concerned it may cause health issues in long term use.

3 years and counting and mx-4 is still going strong and you can get the cooler off when you need to put new paste on, some of the expensive paste is like glue.

I used this exact same paste on my pc and it made a big difference in temps, but when I used it on my friends pc, I guess I put too much and I broke his motherboards components
