Its not bizarre at all. It gives power and prestige to people who havent earned it. All it requires is the adoption of the ideas that you're told to adopt. Convincing people to defend ideas that give them purpose and power over others isn't hard at all. In fact, you dont have to convince them at all.

Yes I agree. It is strange how successful people can be at capturing people attention. No matter what box ya fit into there is always the perfect personality to capture people's attention and lead them down a dark path by saying words they love to hear.

I understand it may be somewhat taxing, maybe even boring, but if you go read Hegel and the postmodernist thinkers that followed, like Derrida and Foucault, you would see what they are trying to do and the how and why. James Lindsey breaks it down fairly well.
