Well most people think they will sleep all winter till hot days come and they, along with groundhogs, if they see their shadow, winter will continue, if not spring is here, but let me tell ya bears are not true hibernators.
Hibernation is an state where animal falls i to very deep sleep when harsh winter arrived. They slow their metabolism like lower breath ing, lower hearth rate and drop in a body temperature, you cant even wake them up no matter you try. Bats, hedgehogs, various rodents and lizards do it, with groundhog males walking up early so they check on females that still sleep, hence the myth of shadow and groundhog. Bears are actually different in that they enter in a state called *torpor* where they only slightly drop their body temperature but are also not in very very deep sleep, they are reffered as semi hibernators. Bears, unlike true hibernators, can wake up at any moment. Mostly beacuse mother bears usually give birth in winter so they raise them strong before spring comes. So bears dont go into hibernation, they are just going into deep sleep where they can actually wake up and go to search a quick snack before returning to the den

I believe they don't... sleep... during hibernation. They're just in "battery saving" mode 😅. They can still get up and do stuff if they have too.
Not a good survival system to make yourself vulnerable for months 😂

Our hearts are fast active from all year work no hybernation in this body or unemployment working to improve together. No we are not stronger than animals. Taking time off without unemployment. My construction dads never overworked if we tried to make them theyll scream to all year work. Never teached me about hybernation why we need to from extreme anger developing.
