Sleepy Bears Getting Ready For A LONG Sleep

The bears (brrrs 🥶) in Armenia are feeling a little sleepy! 🐻😴
As winter grips the Armenian countryside, the FPWC rescue center is a little bit quieter than usual. Instead of splashing in pools, bashing wobble trees or running around their large enclosures; bears are conserving their energy, packing on the fat, and getting ready for a long frosty slumber!
When they emerge from their cosy dens in the spring and shake off the equivalent of a bear hangover (think Monday mornings but 10 times worse), they will stuff their furry faces with lots of nutritious food prepared in advance by the FPWC staff. They will then have free reign of their enclosures, with lots of enrichment activities available for them to enjoy!
