Get ready to rock.

The Gibson SG Standard Tribute 2019, Walnut Vintage Gloss is a perfectly engineered machine for all types of rock music. Unleash electrifying energy into your music with an amazing, full-bodied voice courtesy of open coil 490R and 490T pickups. Guitar solos sound sensational with the SG's snarling tones, and are easy to play thanks to a rounded maple neck that makes playing fast note sequences simple.

The original SG has been a staple of all varieties of rock music since its birth in the mid-60s. Jimi Hendrix used one when he wanted to get bluesy. Pete Townshend wielded an SG as he helped The Who develop their status as "The Loudest Band in the World". AC/DC's Angus Young wrote some of the most enduring riffs in rock on an SG. Even The Beatles used one on their way to becoming the biggest band of all-time, with George Harrison playing one on Revolver and Rubber Soul, and John Lennon borrowing the same instrument for The White Album. There's a reason it's so popular.

The Gibson SG has amazing rock pedigree surging through every one of its strings.

So, I'm primarily a garage rock/alt/Brit invasion guy who almost exclusively plays Fender Jags/Stangs/Jazzmasters. However, I finally traded in some stuff for one of these, and let me just say, it absolutely rules. Very hard to put down and is just so fun to beat the shit out of. Total workhorse. If you find one used, play it, buy it, and be happy forever. Also, it's light as hell and won't torture your back.

Mine is an earlier 2013 Tribute SG Standard, 60s neck. Grovers, no scratch plate, chocolate, finish looks like the floor of a school hall for the new scholarly year. It's an animal!

The clean stuff in this vid actually sells me more on the guitar than the dirty leads at the starting half. Nice sounding guitar -- and great playing, too. Awesome.

I'm getting an SG Tribute soon.I played a few of them and love them. I don't know why but the 490T pups in the SG sound far superior to the ones I've played in other Gibsons. They really just snap, crackle and pop in all the right places in the SG Tribute. And SGs just play great. Lightweight too.

Gorgeous clean sound, distortion only heightens the tone(s). Cant wait to own this one day.

Probably Gibsons best Sg very close to the old School Sgs of the late 1960's and early 70's..and the only Gibson guitar worth it's $1, 300 price tag

Could you please suggest any good replacement tuners for GIbson SG Tribute. I don't like stock tuners because I have some tuning issues. So, please, suggest some certain good tuners model that will fit Gibson SG Tribute, maybe Grovers or Klusons. I do not want to drill headstock, so I'm looking for replacement tuners that will ideally fit stock tuners holes.

How long did you spend setting it up before it’s properly playable?
