Note make sure you close steam from task manager and then open from Rs launcher and click play on steam. This fixes steam app already running or the instant hard crash .

I struggled with getting Rockstar Games Launcher to even install in the first place. After getting online with support and exhausting all options I began extensive trouble shooting on my own. Long story short, after trying in safe mode, compatibility mode, and soooo many other things I fixed it. I had been running the Stardock suit of desktop customization as well as having the Steam and Epic launchers going as they started up with Windows. After shutting those down and deleting EVERY file having ANYTHING to do with Rockstar it installed perfectly.

guys I tried this and works fair and square. Firstly, when I open the Launcher it doesnt show anything. then the solution I did that works for me is unchecking the boxes of Fullscreen Optimizations and Run as Administrator mode and thats it. its a miracle lol

Finally! 3 days straight after just buying the game. On the line with rockstar support, back and fourth with steam support, with the only option on the table "A refund" Finally got it to work! TY so much! I think it was the last step that helped. I installed the game thru steam on my E drive. But the launcher was looking for the game on my C drive. The un-install and play.exe from the E drive may have been the trick. In the Rockstar launcher under settings where it says scan my PC for files - It would always say, game does not exist. TY TY TY!!!

game has not worked for me since i brought and installed it on rockstar launcher. its been lagging freezing errors and ive tryed everything to fix it graphics settings restalling changing to direct 12 to vulkun. nothing works.

Still a no go for me. RDR2 loads launcher fine i hit run on steam and it says loading then 5 seconds later it quits. Tried everything from verifying, reinstalling the game 10 times and the launcher social club. Re installing nvidia drivers, disabling my GPU, bypassing firewall, clean boot, run on admin, disable cloud storage, delete game save files, windows 8 compatibility, clear DNS, download everything on different drives, all on the same drive. Im talking to rockstar support but they give me one thing to try every 2 days and its mostly stuff i have already tried. Nothing on reddit or youtube has worked so far.... I'm stuck

Installed after like 6 months, my PlayRDR2.exe is missing, even reinstalling the game, doing a complete wipe doesnt change anything. Why is the PlayRDR2 folder missing. I dont get it

Been searching endlessly for a fix and nothing worked. Not even this. So I said F-it, gonna uninstall everything, but I'll do it one application at a time. First up was the Launcher. Uninstalled that and did a quick test. Guess what? It worked.

mine says, "launch on steam" themn it tries to launch and says "no license" on steam

i just got mine off Eneba and when I tried downloading it finishes then it says error then the download goes all the way up to 0 or sometimes half of it
