Let the crooks who file for chapter 7/11 bankruptcy at every turn, or the criminals in congress who had their PPP loans forgiven, pay it back first.

I would love to see Ted Cruz work an average American jobs and see how hard we work on a daily basis versus his job a job he get paid to nothing

"The party of the working class" seems to really love insulting working class workers

Politicians like Ted always love to act like they grew up poor and got where they are with just hard work, Theyre practically aristocrats at this point. Shits come full circle

“Slacker barista”?
I mean, least they’re working. Telling you, both sides think very little of you. Left and right.

Ted Cruz knows he wouldnt last 3 days at a real job, that's why he lies for a living. Hearing him say "slacker barista" is infuriating, but that's also every time he talks.

Meeeeh…I’m Ted Cruz.

I’m going to repeat what a previous generation said about my generation 30 years ago.

Wow, “slacker barista”?!?! I bet he wouldn’t even be able to keep up with them if he tried. What a POS!

I don't see this as a slam on the working class. Instead it's a slam of those who waste money taking courses that deliver a degree and then accepting a job with a pay scale below what's needed to meet financial obligations. Repayment promises should motivate staying the course instead of walking away before that bachelors, masters are obtained.

Great analysis Krystal. I just don’t understand the pushback against educating our populace without burdening them in debt. It not only benefits our country today but if structural changes are made to the college system it will be even better for our country in long run.

We should get rid of the idea that everything needs to be in service of the economy. We should want more of the populace to be educated on a wide variety of topics because it helps improve their lives and the lives of those around them. Education is an inherent good. This country spends a whole lot more money on doing evil: militarism, incarcerating nonviolent people, and subsidizing the destruction of the environment, why not spend a little more on good?

Krystal acts like she doesn’t understand what Ted was trying to say. Typical

I doesn't help that for years the media has been portraying millennial college students in a certain light. But there's always some truth to stereotypes.. back HS in the 90s college was being pushed so hard on us, and now we have a shortage of skilled tradesman. Wages in these fields pay really well but now there's a lack of interest in the trades at large. There needs to be a refocus.
