I'll tell you one more simple method to extract oil:
Grind the coconut pieces and filter it. Keep the filtered milk in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours. Then you can get the butter like formation on the top. Take that thick layer of butter and heat it for 15 minutes on slow flame. Now you can collect the pure coconut oil.

This is an expensive Kerala style of extracting the oil. Here in Karnataka we extract oil from dry coconut by cold pressing method
