How to Disable Function Keys on a Microsoft Keyboard

This is a How to Disable Function Keys on a Microsoft Wireless Media Keyboard, after much hate of the F4 key on this keyboard which kept putting my computer to sleep..

i went to figure out how to turn the Function keys off

Fn + Caps Held for 10 seconds

my go to glue for almost everything now days!

Used to open ipad and remove glued back covers on phones

When using the heat gun near sensitive parts, its best to cover them
With this to protect them

For things that need more Stick!,usually on tablet digitizers

Advanced readouts of power draw on devices

A Simple Amp tester to see if your charger is actually putting out power

The Black Tweezers i use in my videos

This is the same as the metal pry tool i use, different brand printed on it

A New Version of the pry tools

This is the kit i purchased to do micro soldering, if you see a video
of me micro soldering it was captured on this cameras feed

The Charging station i use out the back, usually having multiple devices connected
Doesn't support Fast charging but still does a good job

I have a newer model QHG-00031 and this worked without me having to install any software from Microsoft. Which will require IT approval if you are using in a corporate environment. Awesome thank you!

Hi. Any ideas how to disable Fn key on a Microsoft comfort curve 3000? Or at least turn it permanently "on". I've tried Fn + ctrl and other keys combinations, but to no avail. Can't disable it in BIOS either, as I don't have the respective parameter in my MSI BIOS.

Great, it worked on an other microsoft keyboard as well, thx. Is there also a way how to disable the computer lock button? That's the button with the padlock.

Once you had hold Function and Caps lock for five seconds, does function keys for F1 to F12 works as normal keyboard? Example: if i want to tap F1 for help, i just tap F1 instead of hold Function key and tap F1.
