I considered getting the s23 but after my horrible experience with the s22 last year, i decided to step up and get the s23 ultra instead. For me it just made sense to get a bigger and brighter screen. But the s23 looks much improved over last year.

I use it with the Light Performance mode. No difference in actual user experience (same speed for everything, I tried to find a difference and could not) but somewhat better battery still.
