In Proxmox you have it almost like on bare metal. No problems at all, really easy setup ;)
It is not good to say virtualization is bad. It is way better than hosted one in the cloud, where it is usually virtualized as well and usually even 10s of miliseconds far. I rather buy one quality 1U server with ECC RAM for more services than to use tons of small cheap chinese boxes.

Great that you make this updated series, thanks!
A note on PRI and BRI, where i live all ISDN services ends within the next year, it's becomming to expensive to keep alive.

I love FreePBX. I just upgraded ours from 13 to 15 and it works great. I'm anxious to see what v16 offers! Thanks Chris!

i installed more than 10 freepbx in VMware and proxmox of 100+ user, and it is stable for past 4 years and not faced any technical problem, snapshot, live automated backup is very easy, more over High Availability and Fault Tolerance can be configured, it is the concept matter....not the virtualization platforms

I was directed to this series by a friend but I think this may be overkill for my goal. I recently moved and the home has an obscene number of phone jacks including in the bathrooms and elevator (these still have the wall mounted slimline phones attached) all neatly terminated at a punch-down block in the network room and I thought a fun summer project would be to set them up with some local extension type set up so you could have a toilet to toilet conference :)

Thanks for this series!! Great stuff, I've been into telelphony off and on and I've been trying to get FreePBX with Asterisk running in VM, but it doesn't look like that's very efficient as you stated. Great series looking forward to more!

Hi Chris, I noticed you left Flowroute off your SIP provider list. Other than limited E911 service, what other concerns do you have with them?

For a second, I thought I heard "sh*t" when you said "ship." :)

I just wish I could have a box, connected between two or more phones, regardless if they're rotary dial or touch tone and assign each a phone "Numbers" hear a real dial tone, then ring one of the other phones when the assigned numbers are dialed, without the need for VOIP nonsense, nor needing a land line from the telephone company. Like a private telephone system, if you will.

I have already an older version of freepbx but it's GUI is not working and phones are connected with it on the same network. Now I have installed new GUI freepbx and I want to migrate all settings from old to newer version, so that I can have admin control on all phones on newer version. How can I do this?

Hello, I have 4 Axis PA system connected to the Allworks server. I can page each one of them but not together. The system does not list the generic SIP. Any idea or suggestion? Thank you for your videos.

Hey! I'm new to FreePBX. I've set up Raspbx on a Raspberry Pi 4 and would like to make calls using a 4G SIM router (TP Link - TL-MR6500v/ VoLTE, VoIP, VoiceMail). The router works fine on the RJ11 port with a standard phone.
I previously attempted to use the chan_dongle module, but it appears that the 4G SIM doesn't work with it. I don't believe the mobile carrier provides any SIP settings for 4G SIMs. Is it possible to connect the VoIP router with Raspbx over Ethernet?

big fan of your channel !! l... I'm trying to link Mitel phones (6940s) to be specific with 3cx, I love the videos you made about this topics , ever since I've been using it .. we love your work .. found little about this in the forums etc ... which you could do a video about linking phones not listed on compatible 3cx list ...there are a lot of people out there looking for a solution ...

Is there a way to modify the incoming caller id for example if I have two different toll free numbers and want to distinguish which number is being called I can change the caller id to show the last for digits of the toll free number.
