Lin was assigned by the revival of West Side Story to write Spanish translations for select lyrics the Sharks sing in order for the show to sound more authentic.

After the Tonys however (in which Karen won Best Supporting Actress for Anita), WSS decided to change the lyrics back to their original English translation because audiences were complaining about the Spanish.
