Marillion are an emotional band. From the early eighties until present day. This was a single from a concept album, it was well known in the UK reaching no.2. At this time they were a household name. Changed their singer in the late eighties. Much less mass appeal was to follow but still a great band with a loyal fan base. They are the pioneers of the use of the internet and were the first band to leave a record company in favour of crowd funding. The lead singer on this is known as Fish, great songs such as blind curve, incubus or hotel hobbies. The next singer is Steve Hogarth with classics such as Neverland, The Great Escape or The Space which has a great version live at the Royal Albert Hall.

Misplaced Childhood has got to be one of the most well written albums of all time. The imagery and moods created are just amazing.

Their biggest hit back in 1985. Didn't know them at that moment. A friend at lyceum talked me about them in 1987, "The modern Genesis". As I was already fan of Genesis, I bought their live album "The thiewing magpie" and immediately fell in love with their music.

This brought semi tears to my eyes. Memories can be beatiful and painful at the same time. I like your reaction. Most uploaders like to talk over the most chilling moments.

you should react to Sugar Mice by Marillion - wonderfully powerful ballad, especially the live versions

The official video for Kayleigh features a German model and the lead singer of Marillion (at that time) a Scottish guy who was nicknamed Fish aka Derek William Dick who funnily enough ended up marrying each other.

No longer together, from what I am led to understand but still keep in touch and remain friends.

Just thought that I would mention that, after you talked about what you felt the meaning of the song was about.

Lovely reaction ❤️

Kayleigh is their only song you'll ever hear on the radio (shortened version), it's their biggest single (so it may sound familiar).
Of course they made many good songs. The lead singer, Fish, left the band after 4 albums in 1988. Their 2nd vocalist is also very good, check out 'Neverland' (live 2009). You'll ❤️ it...

....At times like these
Any fool can see
Any fool can see
Your love inside me...
Use a 🎧!!!
