Don't feel bad... I have some health conditions and Advil has been literally the only thing that helps some of the issues be manageable when I have a flare-up. For some reason no other ibuprofen does it the same way.

i’m a pharmacy student and totally understand why people choose the crunchy lifestyle or just don’t want to take medication. I will say though that Advil (generic is ibuprofen) is generally pretty safe with few adverse side effects that the majority of people won’t experience. That being said, it still is a chemical being put into your body which a lot of people take issue with. Whether or not you choose to use medication, please be aware that ibuprofen is very safe, but of course check with your doctor or pharmacist to see if it’s right for you. Caution especially with long term use (like daily for a long time) because that can put you at risk for peptic ulcers.

Here's the thing, when I have a headache, I take medication. When I aches and hurt all over from the flu, I take medication. When I'm stuffed up and can't breathe from a cold, I take medication. Don't let being "crunchy" hold you back. I see the guilt but there is nothing to feel guilty about, you had already made the clip and they asked for permission to use it and paid you. How many times do people take without permission or payment?!? You needed it and it blessed your family. I guess I'm more down to earth but I see nothing wrong with what you did. Please don't let it bother at you anymore.❤

Medicine is not the enemy. The companies are the problem. These drugs have genuine beneficial uses, ibuprofen (Advil) is a useful tool. Just cause they’re marketed by a large corporation doesn’t mean their only use is to get the company more money.

Not gonna lie... I use ibuprofen pretty frequently. It's the only thing that helps with my pain..that being said, I only go generic because I'm broke... So Pfizer, if you're listening- hook me up with that $1000, and I'll use your name brand stuff for a bit.

If my husband gets an inheritance, the vast majority of it will have originated from big pharma lobbying dollars. No reason to reject it. We would use it to improve our crunchy lifestyle. 😂

Yeah, refusing modern medicine is a very good lifestyle. As long as you have no illness, no chronic condition, are not prône to being sick, that you are more than 5yo, less than 50, that you have no accident, no exposition to life-threatening bacteria or virus, or that you have something modern medicine have no solution for.

It’s almost as if people who don’t need médication could do without it…

Some of us still use ibuprofen ounce in a while. I've tried all the crunchy remedies and none of them work for intense migraines triggered from CIRS. I mostly just ride them out, but sometimes I'm all by myself with three young children and I cannot even move from the amount of sharp ice pick pain. It's not ideal, but some of us still need it. ❤ Prizer has done a lot of messed up things, but Advil used at the right amount in a non abusive situation is not a bad thing.
