As an Xpeng shareholder, this is good news and a good move for both parties. VW has the size, money, and manufacturing expertise. Xpeng has the great design, software and desirable cars.

I worked with the G9 for half a year. Not allowed to mention it, but I`m currently struggling to get in touch with their management, as there are things to discuss. Tried for several months now. "Cultural differences", of the type which is not needed. Some of the same happened with a former client from the same country, and they took it as professionals. Really impressed. So, please. Xpeng, reach out! So far, you have just threatened me via others, instead of having a meeting between equal human beings. Nothing to be scared of. Solid experience for all of us. Thank you. Bjorn. Electric vehicles can be quite costly, making them inaccessible for many working-class families. Therefore, any measures that can enhance the affordability of EVs are greatly beneficial, especially for those purchasing their first vehicle. The origin of the EV is of little concern to us; what matters most is that it is within our financial means.

"Their cars aren't selling", just as XPeng is on its way to breaking their sales record (16K) for the month of October. It's almost a certainty they will end the year with monthly deliveries of over 20K.

If they can get them to market quickly, then their next step should be to build a factory together somewhere in Europe with high unemployment, with their best product possible. This could succeed.

Sam, Xpeng's deliveries to be announced tomorrow will be about triple, yes triple their monthly low earlier this year. Xpeng's sales *were* very disappointing. They are likely a year behind on hitting the 250-300K annual delivery goal. if they 1) do this 2) hit the cash flow break even goal by end of '24 (or even within a year of that goal & 3) VW really moves fast on getting Xpeng based cars on the market, the stock is gapingly undervalued.

The one wild card is the ownership structure of VW - there is an implicit requirement to protect local jobs so this would have to be complimentary to Wolfsburg rather than a replacement surely - or have the state no longer a shareholding? For sure with current German energy costs manufacturing in the area must be a nightmare!

The only way that VW are going to get serious about EV’s is through a partnership, totally separate to their ice business

All that VW have to do is to slap the VW badge on an Xpeng, After all, Xpeng are doing everything cheaper and better. Xpeng is the ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) and VW is the re-seller

Time for Germany to embraces solidarity and mutual trust, equality and mutual benefit, inclusiveness and mutual learning, and win-win cooperation with China!
With China, Germany will stay on top in Europe and would become mega-trend of Europe!

If you were VW and are so behind in EV technologies, what do you do? It seems they are doing exactly the same as China was doing in 1980s and 90s: acquiring technologies through JV partnerships with foreign automakers and sell them in domestic market, except this time the roles have reversed!

Tesla Killer! Just a side note: I have been tracking the inventory of VW ID.4's at a local dealership. A month ago they had 44 today they have 28.

So, in summary, 2 models potentially in 2025 destined for the Chinese market? I'll take another look when there are more tangible outcomes than a trip to Wolfsburg. (Even I have been to Wolfsburg, albeit not meeting the senior bottle washers in VW.)

Wow, I will actually be able to get an older EV platform from VW/XPENG? Great, sign me up immediately, as I am so excited in older technology (he said sarcastically). What’s that saying about too many cooks in the kitchen? Smells of desperation to me.
