Add USB Drive for External Storage on Amazon Fire TV (Easy Method)

Do you want to know how to add a USB drive to your Amazon Fire TV for external storage and to format the drive so you can use it on your TV! Plug the USB drive into the back of the TV! My Tv had one USB slot! Then go to apps and move apps over to your USB drive, not all apps will move over!

Literally none of my apps give me the option to move to USB. When I try to download new apps, it tells me not enough storage, and gives me the option for format the drive. I’ve formatted it 4 times now. I can see how much space it has. 32G. But I can’t put anything on it.

Option for format don’t come up, not even in settings. USB is shown under devices

I moved the apps to my external storage, the internal memory states it has 2.95GB of memory available, my external space has 29.35GB of memory available. My ESPN and Hulu apps stated they needed an update but both say 'Not Enough Space' and it asks me to manage apps to free up memory. Is there a work-around for this?

I just bought a fire stick 4K max and when I go to my profile “devices and software” does not show up as an option. Has this been removed? I couldn’t find it anywhere.

I connected a flash drive to my Sony Android TV. My problem is I use a streaming app called Tivimate. When I open the app and go into recordings, I see the flash drive. I keep getting this error( Fail to change recording folder) when I try to select a folder to save my recordings. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. #AndroidTV #Tivimate #Streaming #Help

I have noted that apps installed on key usb are very slow.

None of the apps I have can be moved, the largest ones like Netflix, YouTube, YouTube tv, and none of the ones I don't use like freevee taking up all the space

Even when I select external storage and find the USB drive it takes up internal storage on the firstick? Wtf is going on?

Basically very few of the fire store apps allow to transfer to external storage.
Kinda useless unless youre downloading apks
