If all you are going to use it for is cutting grass, It is a not the best A Zero Turn is easier to manipulate in every odd area an will cut circles around any and all Lawn tractor Our Deere M665 is over 23 years old and is used to maintain both residents and all areas around Hay Storage and Equipment sheds including one mile of hiway shoulders, both goes thru about 4 sets of blades a year... Our First Grass Cutter was a 332 diesel in 1990, so Been there tried that

This is a top of the line mower. I prefer this exact model. 2WD, front power 2 wheel steer and diesel. Reminds me of the old Deere 430 which was a massive garden tractor. To me the 4WD and 4WS makes it way more complicated for this class of a machine. The newest ones have green decks. I much prefer the yellow decks on these. I do however wish Deere had kept the steel old school type rims. Not a fan of the automotive wheel style which I don't feel is needed on a tractor. And now 12" old school iron wheel weights with the 4 hole pattern will not work on these wheels. So you can't stack 100lbs on each wheel for winter.

Looking at a used one, With 662 hr. on it and looks to be in good shape. with 54 in. deck asking 8200.00 Those Yanmar engines are tough to say the least. That mower with care will last couple lifetimes, I'd say.

Why are they so loud? Diggers with similar engines just hum.
