As an ex soldier myself my heart bleeds for all soldiers everywhere in the world. Many do not want to be where they are. It is, however, NOT in the conduct protocol of a true soldier to fight against citizens - that is cowardly and shameful. Any soldier doing that stops being a soldier and is a terrorist. And the free world has the right to fight terrorism anywhere in the world. I wish the leaders of the Ukraine would realize this and appeal to the free world to fight terrorism in their country.
