Ana Paula Melo is a full professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at Federal University of Santa Catarina. Her area of expertise is building energy simulation and computational modelling for optimizing the design and operation of high-performance buildings. Ana is the president of the IBPSA BRASIL International Building Performance Simulation Association (IBPSA), and the advisor of the ASHARE Florianópolis Student Branch.
