DreamBound - a Kirby RPG Prequel [Demo 2]

夢の物語 [ＤＥＭＯ ２] ： Ｖｓ．ｔｈｅ ｃｈｏｓｅｎ ｏｎｅ
"DreamBound: a Kirby RPG Prequel" is a pixel art fan game based on the untold tales which happened before Kirby's Dream Land.
You'll follow little Dedede and his friends on their journey to stop Dark Matter with the Dream power of the Star Rod! Its battle system is a mix between Mother 3 and Paper Mario.
This is actually just an animation, not a real game, but if you've been fooled by watching it, well, I'm glad the illusion worked!

[Demo 2] : Kid Dedede
Near the beginning of the game, Dedede and his big sister Lilili meet a strange knight who's looking for the Star Rod. Could he be the legendary Pink Knight who will vanquish darkness in Pop Star?
This battle is supposed to teach the player how to use Meta Knight's swordsman abilities.

The animation of DeDeDe tripping and STILL somehow hitting his target is perfectly in-line with how he is in the official games. My goodness some things just never change, do they?

I have been desperately wanting a Kirby RPG spinoff for some time. The characters and story elements (specifically all the unanswered lore questions that could be explained) in Kirby games seem like they would translate well into an RPG format, perhaps a prequel.

Absolutely adore the action commands and spritework here! I'm really excited to learn more about what's going on - what's going to happen to Lilili (assuming the rest of the games are the same, that doesn't bode well for her, oh no-)? Honestly I would love to see this being made into a series with a fun narrative story behind it no matter how short or big it'll be, even though it's not a real game but this is seriously really entertaining!

I get it...Meta Knight is the first character you start as. Lilili then joins you, and soon Dedede, well, after you defeat him.
