夢の物語 [ＤＥＭＯ ３] ： ｔｈｅ ｆｏｒｅｓｔ ｏｆ ｔｈｅ Ｓｔａｒ Ｔｈｉｅｆ
"DreamBound: a Kirby RPG Prequel" is a pixel art fan game based on the untold tales which happened before Kirby's Dream Land.
You'll follow little Dedede and his friends on their journey to stop Dark Matter with the Dream power of the Star Rod! Its battle system is a mix between Mother 3 and Paper Mario.
This is actually just an animation, not a real game, but if you've been fooled by watching it, well, I'm glad the illusion worked!

[Demo 3] : Star Thief
Near the beginning of the game, Dedede and his big sister Lilili try to find their way home when strange events happen in the forest. Their clan could be in danger!
Unfortunately, they are ambushed by a terrible creature lurking in the shadows! It steals every star close to its dark tentacles, and the Star Rod is its next taking!

There is an immense difference between fighting an eldritch horror as an unstoppable power copying pink puff. And fighting as 2 penguins that are children.

This really brings fear to the player, because you're not playing with any type of power, not even Meta Knight is here.

Hmm... so Dedede has a sister, huh? :? I wonder why we never see her in the present series... it kind of seems like she could have possibly died, and Dedede hasn't been the same since... (And with the Mother and Omori music, I feel like this is definitely something that might happen. :p).

When I was a little kid, I used to make up ideas for games I’d like to see one day, and one of the first ideas I ever came up with was a Mario & Luigi style game with Kirby characters. Seeing this in such stunning detail is like my childhood dream is coming true!

Going off of what this is clearly inspired by, the fact that Lilili has the hat that Dedede has nowadays, and the fact that Lilili is not in the games(which makes sense as this is fan made but still)... Yeah Lilili is probably not making it out of this "game" alive. Either way I love this, great job.

OH NO. THIS ISN'T ENDING WELL
I adore the emotional toil here, you can see how the events slowly lead to the characters we know today. Dedede's stubbornness but also his naïvete, just like how he is when he's all grown up... and Lilili making her stand in between which is probably not going to go well for either of them. And the animations and pacing are on point! Wonderful job as always and now I'm in emotional pain!

You know this might explain why Kirby is hated by King Dedede. Because to most he is just the savior to Popstar but to King Dedede, Kirby is just a reminder of his failure to save his sister. Also unlike King Dedede, Kirby has never failed/lost somebody. Most of them were either killed by their own self hubris or by others outside his control and most of them were his enemies. Even when Kirby finally defeats Dark Nebula in Squeak Squad, he either might be relieved by the fact that Dark Nebula is finallly defeated and respects Kirby or hates how Kirby makes Dark Nebula looks trivial to the struggles him, his sister, Meta knight, and Great Dee took to just simply seal Nebula into a chest.

That Darkness monster is genuinely terrifying. Amazing sprite work, adding in those flashes of red, showing how MASSIVE it really is brings it up another level!!!

As the eldest child in my family Lillie's speach felt really powerful to me and honestly made me tear up because I can feel that drive to look strong and protect your family

Iam now gonna try to put all of the demos in order here while explaining my thinking of why it is in that order. so beginning with Demo 3 and taking information on the wiki, it reads: "Near the beginning of the game, Dedede and his big

steals every star close to its dark tentacles, and the Star Rod is its next taking!" the word beginning of the game is important here, meaning that this happens somewhere around the start of the game. but it also says that demo 2 is near the beginning of the game. with the first appearence of "The Legendary Pink Knight". so how do we figure out which one comes in what order? wellll, in demo 1, the pink knight isn't theree and im guessing he would stay with the party, unless its confirmed he sometimes doesn't stick with the party in future demos or on the wiki. so, we now got demo 3 down, whats next? demo 2 of course, not demo 1 because it says its halfway past the game when it happens. so the current order is: demo 3, demo 2, demo 1. but on the wiki its confirmed there are even more demos. so im just gonna try to take a guess and what demos come in. Demo 3, demo 2, demo 5, demo 1, demo 4, and demo 6. might do another one about the lore

C'est incroyablement bien animé, vraiment phénoménal! Le design de Dark Matter (si c'est bien ce que c'est) est très cool et me fait penser à l'intro de Dreamland 3 avec les tentacules (et à Vaati de Zelda Minish Cap aussi) + c'est bien trouvé d'utiliser la musique de Mass Attack qui est faite par la même personne que Mother 3
