I never sang the australian national anthem when I was going to school I was the only indigenous person there, My mother told me when I was a kid You can sing the song if you want to, but you don't have to if you don't want to, , There was a lot of people in the school who didn't like it Including the teachers but I didn't care!, Because australian national anthem doesn't represent the Indigenous people! of australia, That's why we got 3 different flags in australia for each race

I'm not British, but you want to take a moment and sign the British National Anthem, what's the problem? Regardless of what country you live in, the citizens there should be allowed to sign their National Anthem without any issue. What can't you in your own country?

All countries teach their history in a nationalist way. How is this controversial? People confuse the government and the country. The loyalty is to the country. Symbols like the flag and anthem are weaponized heavily by governments. Unity is not always a good thing. Unity around what? Andrew Rosindell actually thought he caught Ash Sarkar in a gotcha moment when she implied she isn't in love with the institution of monarchy in Britain. And he has the gall to scoff at her? In 2023! What a fool! It really boggles the mind.

I'll leave you with a quote from Mark Twain responding to those calling him disloyal and unpatriotic for disagreeing with the actions of his government...

The National Anthem is not an anthem for the nation. It is a song about one person, ie the monarch. It should be changed.

To be honest I thought piers would be on the other side😂, , not forcing kids to sing a governmental anthem, , you shouldn't force kids to do anything, , there's a reason we don't do it and America does
