Don't Waste Your Oil | TJ Anglin

This week, Pastor TJ continues the powerful “I Am Revival” series with a transformative message entitled “Don’t Waste Your Oil.” Drawing from the Parable of the Ten Virgins in Matthew 25 📖, Pastor TJ reveals three critical places where your oil—your anointing, gifts, and calling—must be protected. 1. Don’t Waste Your Oil on Counterfeits 🛑.
Not everything that looks like God is from God. From Aaron’s staff swallowing the magicians’ staffs in Exodus 🐍 to Peter rebuking Simon for trying to buy the Holy Spirit in Acts 🕊️, the Bible warns us to avoid pouring our oil into what isn’t real. Counterfeit opportunities, selfish ambition, and compromise can drain the divine power God has entrusted to you. Present yourself to God as a worker approved, pursuing truth and holiness ✝️ (2 Timothy 2:15).

2. Don’t Waste Your Oil on Foolishness 🤦.
The foolish virgins in Matthew 25 lacked the foresight to bring extra oil 🛢️, and their neglect cost them their place at the wedding banquet 🎉. Foolishness squanders the oil, whether through anger (Proverbs 14:29), greed (Luke 12:18-20), or poor associations (Proverbs 13:20). Walk in wisdom and make the most of every opportunity God gives you 💡 (Ephesians 5:15-16).

3. Don’t Waste Your Oil by Failing to Be Ready ⏳.
Preparation is key to protecting your oil. The wise virgins were ready when the bridegroom arrived, while the foolish were left behind 🚪❌ (Matthew 25:10). God’s blessings are poured out on those who live expectantly, like David, who was anointed while tending sheep 🐑 (1 Samuel 16:10-12), or Jacob, who received his father’s blessing 🙏 (Genesis 27:28-30). Stay vigilant, for God’s timing often comes unexpectedly ⏰, and readiness is the difference between stepping into your calling or missing it.

Protect your oil 🛡️, steward your calling 🎯, and be prepared for what God has in store 🙏. Don’t let the enemy or distractions rob you of what God has entrusted to you!

I will not lie at first the sermon got me angry but then it humbled me, I never knew the ugliness I had but yet hearing it from another person THROUGH GOD makes me want to strive better because GOD wants us to be better. He never intended the hurt or trauma I went through, but the day I gave my life to him I can see now the beautiful things he wants for me but my walk with him strengthens everyday and is new but yet I am willing to live day by day organically, to interact with others day by day not for someone or anyone else, just for god, thank you Pastor TJ and thank you Heart Rev for allowing me to get baptized today.
