So grateful for that doc who decided to put a crash cart in Stephanie's room. That is a good doctor who listens to her patients

I'm an EMT and during our training we were regularly taught that if a patient suddenly says they're going to die, to LISTEN to them, no matter how stable they are

My youth pastor in high school, Brandon Garcia, had us work on an assignment, to write what we would want our obituary to look like. He was trying to have us visualize what we hope we would have accomplished and focused on in our lives. To help guide us, he wrote his own obituary, the next week he died in a motorcycle crash. That opened up my eyes at 15 years old.

Retired (33 years) RN. You're not crazy. I lost count of the patients that told me goodbye and they were going to pass, then did.

Two years ago a close friend of mine went on a hiking trip and posted a series of photos on instagram captioned “I took no time to take care” and “you want to go to heaven, grab my hand”. Around 2 weeks later, while on another hike, she was involved a freak accident and she fell to her death. She appeared in my dream afterwards and she was smiling and literally glowing. She told me she couldn’t stay long but that I needed to know she’s fine and that I needed to stop crying so much. She gave me a tight hug like she had always done and disappeared. It still feels surreal sometimes.

My father was a Doctor practicing in a small rural town. He told me his biggest lesson after becoming a Doctor was to ALWAYS listen to someone who says they are gonna die.
He had a perfectly healthy patient come to him with fears if his approaching death. Dad convinced him
that he was perfectly healthy and he walked out of the office and died of an aneurysm. He was dead within five minutes of leaving Dad. He was broken up about it. So he taught me to listen to what people are really saying and feeling.

My Nana was 97 and she knew she was going to die. She called all of us and told us to come over. When we all arrived she said goodbye to us, laid down on the couch and passed away. It was the first time I had seen someone die (I was 18) and she was the catalyst for my joining the fire department the next year. I’ve been a firefighter medic now for 24 years.

The morning my mother passed away, I was asleep and dreaming that I was walking with her on a beach, when suddenly she loked back at me, smiled and blew me a kiss, and blew away like water. 15 minutes later I got the call that she had passed. Still rocks me to my core and I have never told anyone about it.

A week before my Mom passed, she told me she was ready. She asked for a bible (we have never been religious), her demeanor changed significantly, and she seemed to be at absolute peace. It's comforting to recall it.

Around 3 months before my mom died unexpectedly she called me. I didn’t hear the phone so it went to voicemail. She left a lengthy message saying she felt like her time was near. She described it as pieces of her souls leaving her body. She said she knew it sounded crazy but she wanted me to know that she loved me and wanted to say her peace in case she died suddenly. This was in July of 2018. In October 2018 she went in for a somewhat routine procedure and never woke up. I’m so glad I kept her message.

I had a miscarriage and was told not to get pregnant again ( medical issues) but a few months later, I had a dream of a lovely little being who said don't be sad I found another way in. The next morning, my sister called. Yes, she was pregnant. And I wound up raising her daughter. Spirit has a way.

My grandpa called my dad and said thank the girls for being such great grandchildren and tell them I love them and thank you for being a great son, you make me so proud. The next day he passes peacefully in his sleep.

My mom had cancer when I was 12. The day she died she refused her meds, hugged me extra tight, and told me to take care of my lil brother. In the 30 mind it took my grandfather to take us to school she passed. She'd been battling it for almost a year but she knew it was her time. I was taking care of her after school and weekends. My grandfather would pick her up while I was at school. She spent her last month at home with us. She told her doctors she'd rather die in her own home surrounded by her family and she her kids every day every chance she could instead of an hour a day she was allowed at the hospital. Strongest woman I know. She lived through breast cancer twice, skin cancer, and bone cancer. Lung cancer and pneumonia is what finally took her down. Miss you momma.

I had a coworker when I first started working in emergency services. We were all standing around talking about a particularly rough call involving neglected children, and he said “I know if I die on the way home tomorrow, my children are taken care of, because my wife and I have always put them first.” We had a random ice storm the next morning, and he’d pulled over to check on a couple people that had slid off the road and while between two cars, the one in the back was hit by a tractor trailer that lost control and slid off the road. He was crushed between the two cars and died. It was and still is the most surreal experience I’ve ever had. I still hear his voice and his words to this day.

My step father passed today about 3 hours before I watched this. I saw this and thought. I should call my mom. He passed today at 2:30pm . I knew as soon as I saw this something happened. Rest in piece Grampa D. You were the best thing that ever happened to my mom. Thank you for putting up with her and making her feel loved more than she's ever been loved before. 😢

Working as a phlebotomist a woman told me..."I'm going to die today. I can feel it." She was scared. She was in her 30's and not in ICU or anything. Came in for something relatively minor. As I'm leaving for the day I hear a code blue to her room. She was telling everyone. It still gives me chills. I remeber exactly what she said.

My grandad passed away a week ago. He wasn’t doing well but we all thought he would be here for a few more years at least. The last time I saw him, I felt the need to give him a giant hug and and tell him that I love him so incredibly much. My mom also took a picture of us together (which she never does). On some subconscious level we knew that he was going to die, we both just didn’t realize it.

My uncle passed from cancer in 2017. It was so hard on all the family. His younger son constantly posted about missing his dad and wishing he could see him again and talk to him once more. In 2019 his mum was sorting out her will and the 4 kids inheritance (2 daughters, 2 sons). The younger son said "I don't want anything I just want my dad... just give my share to my brother". He passed a few weeks later in a car accident, thus leaving his share to his brother... his last status update was a message for his daughter saying hope my daughter knows how much I love her 😢😢💔💔 we miss them both so much 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

My dad was dying of brain cancer and became non verbal and unable to move in bed towards the end. One night he came to me in a dream and told me he loved me and how proud he was of me. I told him that I was sorry that I hadn’t been much help to him. We hugged. I awoke the next morning and received a call from my mom telling me my dad had died that morning. I hope to see him again one day.

I knew I would loose a child before they were grown. On a Friday afternoon my 14 year old daughter says out of the blue. “Who’s going to make sure Sionnan stays girly if I die? “ the moment she said it I immediately knew it I was gonna lose my daughter sure enough 11:59 AM Saturday morning she died from acute viral myocarditis in our living room, right in front of me just dropped.
