One thing that isn't mentioned is we attract CHILDREN/BABIES. I feel things very deeply, and extremely sensitive to the energy, physical pain and mood of others. I'm 62 and recently met someone with whom I can finally trust and feel comfortable with. I drew this person in my sketchbook years before I met them, my ideal partner. My drawing became reality. Many of my yearnings are now becoming reality, maybe because I am finally letting go and letting things happen naturally according to my true spiritual path.

I'm new to this journey and awakening after a person who never met me and is "gifted" looked at me and said "you are an empath and need to get guidance on controlling your gift because you are drowning in emotional absorption." Those words changed my life and since then everything in my life from childhood to present makes so much sense. I have not been able to find a guide to help me learn how to turn it off and on but the more I learn about myself the more experiences I am having that are not explainable. It is a beautiful gift but is not always pleasant. Chronic headaches, exhaustion, anxiety, frustration, mood swings... I could go on. It's not as simple as saying "just learn to control it" because it is a very unpredictable and out of control existence.

I have known for a long time about my spiritual gift, I was a Nurse for 22 years, everyone on my patients told me I was an Angel, I had a very special bond with all of them, I am DEFINITELY an Empath which made my job very, let’s say overwhelmingly emotional at times. I have experienced so many things with the afterlife and spirits. I most always have strangers walk up to me and just start telling me their life story. Dogs are my Love and Passion and trust me, they absolutely know it. I’ve had a few stray dogs just here lately that keep showing up again and again at my house like they have known me forever.
