Great review. Very unbiased. I just bought a Galaxy S3, upgrading from an LG G2x, and I love it. I won't use an iPhone mainly because of its lack of customization. I rooted my phone already and have loaded a couple custom roms seeing which works the best. Overall, both phones are so similar that its almost ridiculous to compare them. Android for the open source customizers, and iPhone for people who fear change, and innovation.

I like both phones but i like more the Samsung Galaxy S3 more i bought since a month ago and i love it

honestly, i've had an iPhone 4S and GS2 and i stay with the iPhone as it doesn't often lag as android has always done on high end devices sooner or later, as my GS3 did when i had it. The iPhone is also a better design, and just more user friendly. When the jailbreak comes out i believe i will be fully happy with the iPhone 5 and might purchase it.

next time you do a speed test; show us that you turn off the wifi on each phones w/o cut scenes and do each test w/o cut screens. Also make sure there are no applications running in the background and you clear ram space.

There is one major issue people keep ignoring it. How much time it takes for an iPhone to turn on after its battery die? And how much time it take an S3 for that matter? Apple proved to be so lame to change the important detail and invested so much in changing the hardware and other silly stuff. I have sold my 4s and I am using the S3 and its such a joy.

The s3 has tons of cool abilities that allow you to have a better experience on their phone, while the iphone is restricted and at many times a bother to navigate.

Its called the Invention of the Interchangable parts... The Gs3 is like a Stock 5.0l 302. Nice right out of the box, but you can add a supercharger to it and make it better. Same as the GS3, Nice out of the Box, but you can goto XDA developers and make it faster and better. The Iphone is like a Block of wood painted up and beautified, but has no way of making it better or faster.

Definitely agree that Apple should open up it's OS in terms of customization. The thing about Android is you have many major companies using it and putting their own spin on the OS which may be a hit or a flop, but either way it pushes the OS towards a nice evolution whereas Apple is the only one putting their "take" on how the user's experience should be which leaves it trailing a bit. Apple gets credit for the original smartphone innovation, but Android wins in evolution imho.

funny you say this cause as far as i remember, LG made the iphone 5 screen, Samsung made the chipsets. Android is made to change. its only limited to the user.

S3 runs full websites that you would get on a computer while the iPhone shows compressed/mobile versions of the site, making it a little bit faster.
