This was a helpful video, thank you! Would you consider a follow-up video where you show your favorite foundation to pair with each of these primers?

My sons got quite an unusual job. He’s a Mortician. He quite often brings his work samples home. And I must say they do work - on aged skin like mine. Great video many thanks.

You asked, so the primers I'm surprised you didn't mention are:

*Revlon Photoready Prime Plus. All Skin types, Vit B5, HA, Blurs, Smooths, Fills fine lines.

*Peter Thomas Roth Instant Firmx No Filter Primer. Idk, never tried it. Heard it's finicky, and I'd never pay that, but it's Angie's HG. 🙄

*NYX Blur Screen. Blurring Primer Sunscreen SPF 30. Does what it says.

Thanks for the video, I might try that L'Oréal one, as I have the Age Perfect Radiant Serum Foundation. I've always wanted to try Bobbi's, and although I am lucky enough to afford it I will never pay that for a primer period. I am pink tax sensitive, and it never ceases to amaze me how easy it is for brands to get women to drop $30-$40+ bucks on one piece of makeup. Don't get me started on Mascaras. 😂

I live in Houston and use the Caliray & Thank Me Later under my Drmtlgy matte SPF and makes it last all day and boots its coverage!! Add a little spot concealer and *poof* instant gratification 🎉❤

I rarely need a primer living in the UK and having normal skin, but when I do I use the ELF Liquid Poreless Putty Primer (despite also never liking the original version), it is excellent.

I just recently started using the Hourglass Mineral Veil and I was blown away! I don’t care how much it is, I’m so glad to have found this primer!

Years ago I tried the Hourglass Veil based on your recommendation- still to this day it's at the top of my list and I ALWAYS have it on hand. Oddly enough their newer one (Vanish) immediately turns my skin red and blotchy. Thanks for all you do....love your recommendations and videos!!!

Have you tried the Armani luxurious silk primer? I’m 50 and it’s the bomb!

I just bought a mini CaliRay based on your recommendation. I hope it helps the pores and shine on my 55yo combo oily skin

I swear by the power grip primer, I have combo skin. In the winter it works magic and keeps my hydrated. Even now in the super hot summer it only get slightly shiny around my nose later in the day

The RMS primer is nice and light and the packaging is perfect, also refillable.

I have tried several of the primers you highlighted. But where is Laura Mercier? Before 1996, we didn't *know* the word *primer* in the makeup world. 🙇 Laura Mercier🌟

I very much appreciate you mentioning the base. I'm finding silicone based primers just don't work for me (not exactly sure why. I have dry mature skin). They just slide around.

Thank you Stephanie, this was very helpful

The Hourglass is my OG. I also like both of the Milk mattifying primers. I am 57 and my oil breaks through after only an hour! It's just really oily so I am always looking for recs! Will check out some of these!

Hi Stephanie Revolution have a dupe for the Bobbi Brown vitamin enriched face base called superbase. It is fragrance free and much more affordable. As much as I like the scent of the original my rosacea doesn’t and the Revolution version therefore works really well for my extremely dry rosacea and eczema prone skin.
My other most used is a green primer from Daniel Sandler as it really blurs the redness without turning orange on my pale skin ( a lot of green primers turn shades of beige and most are too dark for my skin tone). It blurs the pores a little but it’s reduced redness ability is my main reason for using it. Best wishes x

I’ve tried all of these and while I like some nothing beats my Tarte Timeless Smoothing primer. Pores and fine lines are my top concern and I haven’t found anything that makes my (mature combination) skin look as smooth. I did just buy the new O/S primer and while I don’t like it as a primer, I do like it on my crows feet and lines around my mouth. I think it beats the City Beauty, PTR, and the It Cosmetics products although the O/S isn’t marketed that way.

I'm so glad you mentioned the Elizabeth Mott primer. It is the primer I reach for most often. I use it on no makeup days just because I love how it makes my skin look. I also love the Bobbi Brown primer you mentioned. Those two are my most used. I also love the Tatcha Silk Canvas primer, but I find myself reaching for the Bobbi Brown or Elizabeth Mott more and more.
