Keep in mind prep will not prevent you from STI’s it’s still recommended to use protection. In my opinion. Gonnohrea and chlamydia and herpes are still a thing.

it cost 35usd per month (30 days pill) in my country, with maximum 4 months supply allowed during each purchase. Require HIV negative test prior to next 4months supply. its quite affordable for me so i took 1 pill per day despite me on very occasional hook up. plus with barrier protection off course.

Thank you for the well explained and simplified video. PrEP is indeed highly effective. However, I think it is inaccurate to say that PrEP is free of side effects! Of course, it depends on how often you take it and what kind of dosing regime you follow, but chronic use of PrEP can also cause elevated kidney or liver enzymes, and that is why it is very important to regularly check with your physician for side effects and more to test for HIV infections.

Hi, everyone. I have a question. Would you know any scientific studies whether an HIV-negative person taking PrEP can be a carrier of the virus or not for a few days? While PrEP protects the user himself or herself, will it also protect other people that PrEP user is having sex with? For example, if I were taking PrEP and had bareback sex with an HIV-positive person, and I also had bareback sex a few days (say, 2 days after) with an HIV-negative person, will I be able to infect the negative person with HIV? How long will the HIV stay in my body? Will I be a carrier of HIV for a few days or not at all? Hope you can answer! Thanks!
