Super Mario Villains: Good To Evil

Being one of the most celebrated game series as far back as it’s early days on the N.E.S..., Mario has been on a lot of adventures throughout the years. Ranging from running after Bowser to stop him from stealing Peach, all the way to stopping a hostile planetary takeover. He’s always willing to race into danger to save the day. And throughout all these risky heroics, there are villains more than capable of making Mario’s life a living nightmare. But with all these villains, who is the worst of the bunch?

I, too, have no arguments with this list. Dimentio's spot on the list is very, very well-deserved.

The fact that Dimentio just casually killed Mario like it was nothing, and did succeed in erasing an entire world from existence for a solid chunk of the game makes him easily the most evil and dangerous. (And he’s my favorite Mario character because of it! 😁)

Also I love how at one point in the list it was:

If it were my choice, Bowser would be the least evil because of his good fatherhood to his son, he’s willing to put differences aside for the good of the kingdom, and he’s just a lovable character outside of his job in the games. That’s why I love Bowser so much!😊

Dimentio is definitely well deserving of number 1. He is essentially the Super Mario version of Bill Cipher.

Correction here: it was Merlon who turned Timpani into the Pixl Tippi when he discovered her, near death, after being forced to wander between dimensions. Blumiere's father hurt Timpani very badly and cursed her to wander endlessly, never able to reunite with her lover... until the end of Super Paper Mario.

As a child, mario and luigi brothers in time was the first game that made me creep out during the whole story, seeing what the shroobs did to the kingdom while playing was more terrifying than many horror games's plot

I, too, have been noticing how more unhinged King Boo was throughout the Luigi’s Mansion games. I believe LM3 was the first time he was shown to actively be angry.

Count Bleck says : You shouldn't destroy it, even if I tried it, I luckily remembered every person counting for me to escape this horrible fate. If you want to destroy the multiverse, I recommand you to think to your actions.

When I first played Super Paper Mario, I really liked Dimentio. I thought he was revealed to be on the heroes' side from the beginning, what with plotting against Count Bleck and sending the heroes to Hell, which happened to be where they needed to go next. I thought the help he offered in Bleck's castle would have been genuine. But no. He was the true villain.

If I were deciding Dimentio's character, I would have thought it be cool to have him as a fake henchman of sorts. You know, be undercover for the good guys to ultimately destroy the bad guys? He gave off sort of a mad hatter vibe, and it really drew me to his character. I don't know, I do like the twist, but I wanted Dimentio to be the crazy magician that helped the heroes all along, albeit a little twisted in his ways of helping them along.

Darn me and my undying love of redeemed villains. Although I will say the twist was nice in that Count Bleck got a good ending, and was reunited with Tippi. That made me cry. But still...

The Shadow Queen not being higher than 6 is still criminal. She is definitely above King Boo (or top 4). That being said, the paper mario villains are absolutely insane!

24:01 speaking of Smithy, can I just say I was impressed when he literally built a robotic version of the power rangers just they wielded Axes.

18:22 Note: He is one of the four *heroes* that were sent to get the Pure Hearts in Super Paper Mario, though Mario and Peach convinced him because if he wouldn't join them there would be no world for Bowser to rule.

The shroobs are one of my favorite antagonists!
