Its quite incredible how much enemy variety was in mario bros ds and most of them never saw the light of day again. Pumpkin goombas and balloon boos give ghost houses the variety they desperately needed.

It’s really sad to see that some of the ds enemies have been basically scrapped from future games. Almost every single enemy is unique and is really cool.

Also, Mario on the Ds was a major setback of memories for me.

I swear that Balloon Boo, Broozer, Unagi, Mega Unagi and Spike Bass scared me a hell of a lot when I first played NSMB as a kid

I love how it named the Shark enemy “Sushi”. Oh yeah, Mario was made by Japanese people.

New Super Mario DS is one of my favourite Mario-Games, because of the music, the look, the new enemies, the Bowser Jr. Fights and the new Bosses
