Trousers of Ask will not grant any buff unless you wear complete set... You can replace it with Flametal greaves for additional +20% heat resistant and additional Armor.

Lava in the ashlandsdoesnt count as elemental fire and isn’t affected by weakness BTW

I've been wearing this but kept the father cape. The only enemies that hit really hard are fallen valkyries and star warriors/ask. Valheim devs really need to add armor transmog. I'm tired of looking at the root chest when we have so many better looking sets

Replace the Ask pants w/ Mage pants and youve got my "Green Knight" build. Primal Slayer + Staff of Wilds. Used to down Fader

and if you guys want to enhance movement speed, just consider carrying another askvin cape to speed up and glide with the wind in some lucky situation

tbh i would change the trouser for the greaves because the -7% movement speed is not a big deal since i can dodge almost of attacks just by walking around

im confused why are we using the ask trousers if it requires 3 parts of the set in order to use the perks? like run stam jump stam attack stam and pierce?

There is no 'best' armor... this is nonsense. Entirely depends on your playstyle, what combat you're using, and even what your intention is in the Ashlands. Unlike earlier biomes pre-mistlands, there's magic, and various special melee/ranged buffs. Your armor depends on all that.

Why root armor? It has nothing and has fire weakness in lava biome
