This is pretty strange all round. The dad fell into a trap laid by a furry in another country promising pizza in order to rescue a kid....

For everyone asking why the dad lost custody:
I did some research. According to the grandparents Facebook page, both the dad and mom (the grandparents daughter) have "serious mental issues". They were evicted from their home and drug addicts, having spent all their money on pills and fentanyl, which was kept in the same home as the 4 year old girl. Also, the court declared it was causing "emotional trauma" to the little girl, and the home was an "unsafe environment".
Therefore, the grandparents got full custody of her. Seems to me the dad is pretty guilty here.
