Why do Cats have Whiskers?

Some cat owners may want to trim their cat's whiskers, but you should never do this! Whiskers are very important to cats, let's understand why. Their whiskers can detect air currents bouncing off of objects around them. Even blind cats can navigate well just by using their whiskers. In addition, whiskers also acts as measuring tapes to see if the cat can enter a tight space. With the help of their whiskers, cats can move around comfortably in the dark and hunt for mice.
