While I would never cut whiskers it has become plain over the years that like any other hair, they fall out. Not usually more than one or two at a time but you can tell a whisker by the thickness and stiffness of the hair.

My fiancee and I are newer cat owners. We took in 3 our of 4 kittens from the same litter and next week, we have a vet appointment for the 4th kitten to get it's first round of shots. Vets told us to wait a week after getting her her shots before bringing her around our other 3 cats and 2 dogs. Cats whiskers can grow back my friends brother cut his cats whiskers when we was kids and I remember seeing that same cats yrs later and his whiskers grew back

The question was badly formulated because if you ask "Can you cut a cat's whiskers?" The answer is yes, they're not hard enough to stand a scissor or knife and the attachment is also not strong enough to withheld an idiot pulling them with all their might. The real question is "Should you?" And obviously the answer is no, not only you would be causing pain to the innocent creature but they would have difficulty in their day to day life even to the point of life threatening if they are cats that go outside or tend to walk in very narrow high places.
