I recommend just leaving it. It may eat a few eggs, but the positives outweigh the negatives. It keeps rodents and possibly venomous snakes away so I’d just leave it. If you don’t want it there you could relocate it. It’s a harmless ratsnake.

He might eat an egg a week. Might. Snakes barely eat. He's a bonus. Easier to eat the rodents than battle a hen for an egg

This is a nonvenomous rat snake. Looks like it's a big one so he's definitely putting in work keeping the rodents out. It's unlikely that he's eating other snakes tho so you could relocate or just jet him be. Eggs are also another big part of the rat snake diet. They are excellent climbers

This looks like a rat snake. Most rat snakes find their way into chicken coops, often chasing a rodent or two... but they will enjoy an egg or two once the rodents are dispatched. But mature chickens are very defensive, and will dispatch a snake of this size with ease. So in my opinion, I think a rat snake in the chicken coop is better than a rat

Add some fine wire mesh on the floor of the coop to keep it from burrowing under the wall/fence. Get it out with a stick, storage bin and lid.

They don't eat every day but they do keep rodents out of the coops. You could either pay his work with a few eggs or simply relocate him. Rat snakes are harmless, so no worries about getting bitten!
I'd leave him be, but it's up to you doing what you're more comfortable with.
If he's eating rodents, though, he's not likely to eat as many eggs... 😊

Hair spray lighter solves lots of problems and will keep other snakes away too

I can't speak from personal experience on it's effectiveness, but snake repellent is an actual thing. Google search it. Might possibly help. Hope the best for you.
