i feel like football boots should have customizable studs which can be interchangeable between ag, sg, and fg, because not all of us can afford 3 shoes for different types of pitches

I recently changed to AG boots, I play on a AG pitch mostly so didn't fuss me about wearing FG boots. But for ages I noticed my knees and ankles were always so sore and tender after playing. I noticed my boots were actually falling apart too. Got me a pair of Umbro Speciali's AG boots and I love them, super comfy and robust. Compared to FG boots I felt I had more control of the ball with the studs being so much shorter.

From my experience with an ACL injury, you guys should go with the AG one.

I always go fg because they're a great hybrid for dry pitches as well as soft and muddy pitches because of the long studs

By far the best idea I have seen. I tore my minesuc wearing FG on AG while playing for the first team at University too. I am now wearing turf and buying AG boots.

Using FG boots on artificial grass also depends on the generation of the artificial pitch. FG boots are not good for 1st generation artificial pitches with rubber palets, and hard. Now they have artificial grass pitches that are 4th generation. Those pitches mimick real grass and your foot sinks a bit in to the pitch. Also 4th generation gives a player a more cushion bounce better for knees and ankles. So in the 4th generation artificial pitches FG boots are okay, but not on the 1st generation hard carpet pitches.

After both a acl and ankle re construction, I play in tf (turf) boots on the 4g pitches, closer to the ground, more surface area touching the grass, no ankle rolls and you feel a little more connected

Played on both FG and AG with FG cleats. I used to play on FG but the low maintenance
Of the field made me and my friends to switch to the AG fields and we’ve been playing there for 3-4 years almost everyday of the summer, I’ve never got a injury due to my foot being “stuck” I feel like when playing in real grass it’s much easier to get stuck because it’s solid ground whereas turf is soft. From my experience FG is the best choice overall and can be used in multiple surfaces and almost all players I see play on AG use FG cleats. Just my opinions. 🙃

How I choose between FG, SG and AG:

I buy the cheapest one😅

I usually have cramps in both feet after playing on artificial pitch with FG studs and I recently figured it was because of the studs so this confirms it. I need to get some AG studs for the artificial pitches

Please do a goalkeeper dedicated video please, your last video that was about goalkeepers was 11 months ago and I think we need an update.👍

honestly, if you play on the new generation of artificial grass, FG boots are as good as AG boots on it, but on older artificial grass, AG is a must, couple years back I used turf football shoes and it is really good. About SG: I dont think it is worth the money (they are usually little bit more expensive), and even though I play on really dry and bad pitch a lot, just buy something cheaper or dont buy anything, you wont use it more than 10 times and by that time your feet is too big (unless you are an adult)

This video has helped me so much genuinely I had always been using FG boots on AG as my home pitch and training pitch is AG and my last boots that were FG that I had obviously been using on AG had ripped easily and now I know the risk of getting injured aswell and that u can use Ag boots on fg pitches so there’s no doubt that my next pair of boots will be AG as I was trying to find out which Type I should buy
