This theory is better than string theory(ies). The fact that it posites a testable prediction is at least something worth considering anyway.
It is reasonable to use Planck time and lemgth as less than that makes no sense anyway.

I always wondered, could time be quantised? Like we have Planck time which is theoretically the smallest unit of time that any event could happen, but I don't think that's the same thing.

Perhaps the quantum fields of space is similar to tent cloth fabric. Loop quantum gravity may be small area of a quantum fiels curled up in a loop with an open loop, or hook, positioned through the loops. This would hold the fields of space together. The fabric of space.may exist as several volumes of quamtum fields held together seamlessly by quantum gravity. It also would hold fields together as they move and expand, alao reaveling that the fabric or fields have tensile strength. When a black hole forms in them the tensile strength of that portion in a field has be breached.
